Today, sustainability is a major global issue, but there are many concepts that many people are unfamiliar with or unfamiliar with. At Sostenibiidad UNAB we are committed to make this information available in a clear way to all our community and that is why we present the ABC, where we explain different terms and tips so that everyone has access to these concepts. Dr. Elizabeth Garrido, Director of Environmental Engineering of the Faculty of Life Sciences at UNAB, presents the topic “Water: Importance and Care”. Dr. Pilar Parada is the director of CSB UNAB She is a biochemist from the University of Chile, with a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Let’s talk about Gender Equality, which is also Sustainable Development Goal 5. Gender Equality is linked to the equal opportunities that people have in society and currently there have been great advances in our country as reflected in the Iguala Seal. Repairing your products such as electronic devices or textiles before discarding them, separating waste for recycling or composting are some of the actions we can take at home to ensure proper waste management.

In a new edition of our ABC’s of Sustainability <\/span>UNAB<\/span> we addressed the issue of “clean production”. Do you know the term? Dr. Edmundo Mu\u00f1oz explains more in this video. Clean production is a strategy that companies apply to their production processes in order to reduce risks to our health and the environment, among others. This production allows us to save raw materials and energy, in addition to reducing polluting emissions. Edmundo Mu\u00f1oz is an environmental engineer with a Master’s degree in Natural Resources Sciences and a PhD in Engineering.
