At UNAB we continue to work continuously in the care of water. We understand the importance of this resource, and therefore we encourage the use of this resource through different initiatives on our campuses and sites. Learn more about our projects!
During 2021, a diagnosis of water use in our institution was carried out, from this diagnosis it was concluded that the highest water use detected was the irrigation of green areas in Casona (46% of the total), followed by the irrigation of green areas in Casona (46% of the total), followed by the irrigation of green areas in Casona (46% of the total).

Based on these results, a Water Management Plan was developed for all UNAB campuses that seeks to reduce the university’s annual water consumption, giving priority to the Casona Campus, which accounts for 67% of water consumption.
How have we progressed?
Valve Replacement
We implemented a valve replacement at our Casona, Antonio Varas and República Campuses. These valves are intended to generate savings of at least 5,000 liters of potable water per year.
