The institutional values of UNAB, excellence, responsibility, pluralism, respect and integrity, together with communication skills, analytical and critical thinking, scientific reasoning, management of information resources, social responsibility and English as a second language, are fundamental elements of the formation of UNAB students. The development of these skills is expected to favor a successful insertion in today’s working world and in society in general.

To achieve the development of these skills, UNAB, first of all, makes available to its students, a set of courses that are part of the curriculum of each career, which make up the formative line General Education. The primary objective of UNAB General Education is “to develop communicative, analytical-critical, scientific-quantitative and technological skills, from a perspective of social responsibility to contribute to the development of our students and the communities in which they are inserted”.

Social Responsibility

Social Responsibility is the responsibility to respond for the negative impacts (social and environmental) of our decisions and actions on society and the environment, through a transparent and ethical conduct, which allows us to contribute to the requirement of building a responsible society.

It is a process of permanent progress and continuous communication, transversal and plural, with respect to society and the set of problems that involve the future of our society.

It is our ability to diagnose and manage our negative and positive impacts, to do so in networks of co-responsibility, with others and with all those who can support us to reduce and even eradicate these negative impacts, in order to build together, with the competencies of personal and social development of the individual, a more just and sustainable society, in pursuit of social, environmental, ethical and welfare development of society, for our neighbors and our distant ones.
